MIT Kuaotunu: Empathy

The 'Empathy' exercise that we did was all about describing what a learner that faces this challenge looks, sounds and feels like, as well as how they might act in the classroom setting. It gave us an opportunity to look at how we might be able to identify them.

First we wrote our challenge down. Then we identified what we think these learners look like, and then went on to write the things they would be likely to say, think, do and feel.

It was a helpful exercise because it meant that we knew our learners, and we could actually try and put ourselves in their shoes to think about what these students might be going through.
